System Upgrade FAQs

Over the past year, we have been working to upgrade our systems to increase efficiency, stability, and security, whilst most importantly, improving our customer’s experience by;

  • Providing more accurate estimated order delivery times with vehicle tracking technology
  • Paperless delivery notes via SmartPod hand-held technology including instant delivery amendments and proof of delivery (EPOD)
  • Moving exclusively to an e-billing platform

Here are some answers to common questions regarding these changes.

What’s changing?

Our current platform Oracle JD Edwards is being upgraded to a new version to increase efficiency, stability, and security.

We are moving all customers onto an e-billing platform. Customers will be required to register on to our new portal Softco to access invoices, statements and delivery notes.

Finally, delivery notes will be paperless as we introduce a new SmartPOD hand-held device to check and sign for your deliveries. Drivers will be using loading sheets, similar to the previous pick sheets, to assist loading stock of the vehicle.

When are the changes happening?

These changes will occur from Friday 27th January until Wednesday 1st February. During this period, we will not be open for service. Customers can place orders from Wednesday 1st, and we will resume to normal delivery schedules from Monday 6th February.

Can I still return stock if I have incorrectly ordered or received something in error?

Stock and ullage returns will be suspended from Friday 13th January until Monday 13th February. Therefore, we request customers to hold on to any stock they need to return during this period, if you have any concerns, please contact your account manager or relevant customer service centre.

How will I receive my delivery notes?

Once your delivery is completed, the delivery note will be sent to the email address registered with us. These will also be available to view on the SoftCo account portal. If any information has changed recently click here to update your preferred email address.

How can I register for Softco Portal Access?

Existing Swisspost customers will receive a registration link from Wednesday 1st February to set up their new account with Softco. Please refer to the registration manual attachment for guidance.
