Why not try...
Champagne Lallier
Domaine Lallier’s own vineyards cover just over 15ha, sprawling between the Marne River and the Southern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, making up 40% of their total supply.
Their vineyards are carefully maintained through the promotion of biodiversity with bees and fruit trees, to ensure the long-term health of the vines. Their commitment to the protection of their natural environment is demonstrated by their High Environmental Value certification across their vineyards.
Tornatore
Not only one of the largest, but also oldest producers in Sicily, Tornatore was established in 1865 and is still run by the same family. With 46ha of vineyards on the north side of the active volcano, Mount Etna, 1,000m above sea level, the family winery has chosen to focus on native varietals such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto. Despite their traditional varieties, the winery has adopted modern techniques to create wines that are unapologetically fruit focused and delightfully complex.
Weyborne Estate
Weyborne sits at the highest point of the South Downs National Park, nestled within the rolling hills, green pastures, and beauty of the quintessentially English countryside. The historic house on the estate dates to 1640, when it was built by the prominent Yaldwyn Family, at the foot of the ancient River Wey, England’s purest water source. Just as the water breathed life into the gardens over the centuries, it continues to feed the vines that now sprawl across the hills.
Shannon Vineyards
In the Elgin Valley of South Africa, the Palmiet River winds its way through the mountains and down towards Shannon Vineyards. These hillside vineyards sit above the banks of the Peninsula Dam and enjoy a meso-climate of their own, with vines cooled by morning mists from the surrounding mountains and river.
Winemakers, Gordon and Nadia Newton Johnson, strive to make wines with a true sense of this remarkable place, using minimal intervention to allow their terroir to shine.
