Today Bollinger remains one of the few independent family-owned and managed Champagne houses, with each family member passionate about safeguarding the distinctive style that sets Bollinger Champagne apart.

Champagne Bollinger was founded in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger, and soon earned a reputation for quality. Under subsequent generations its reputation has gone from strength to strength, with the company today under the careful stewardship of Ghislain de Montgolfier.

The house owns vineyards in some of the best villages and grows almost two thirds of the grapes used in its wines; such significant vineyard ownership is most rare amongst the major Champagne houses.
