Charles Smith started the core collection of Charles Smith Wines in 2006 with the goal of creating high-quality, varietal specific wines true to their place of origin, and at a price point for everyone to enjoy.
These Washington State wines are full of flavour, balanced and approachable, and have consistently garnered 90+ scores from leading industry critics.
Washington is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, with warm days, cool nights, killer soil and a 200-day growing season. Unlike other parts of the state, Washington’s winegrowing regions are dry and warm most of the year. The ideal weather, along with well-drained soil, means the grapes can take their time ripening. It’s slow and steady all the way to intense, full flavours.
With head winemaker Megan Schofield at the helm, the range comprises a Riesling (Kung Fu Girl) and Chardonnay (Eve) for whites, a rosé (Band of Roses), and Merlot (The Velvet Devil), Syrah (Boom Boom!) and Cabernet Sauvignon (Chateau Smith) for reds.
