Domaine Cheysson is building a name for itself as one of Beaujolais' most exciting producers. The vineyards here have been noted for the fantastic terroir way back before the French Revolution. Endorsement recently came from none other than Robert Parker (not a man known for a love of lighter reds) who named Domaine Cheysson in his book, The World's Best Wine Values under $25. Parker's colleague at The Wine Advocate, David Schilsknecht clearly agrees, calling winemaker Jean-Pierre a major talent.
