A new collaboration with wine pioneer Laura Catena, La Posta is about celebrating some of the incredible small growers across Mendoza.

‘La Posta’ is the tavern where growers gather to share a glass of wine and stories about the harvest before their daily siesta, and the single vineyard wines are all named after the individual growers: Armando, Glorieta and Pizzella. The wines are crafted by winemaker Estela Perinetti, expressing the hard work and skill of the growers.

Bibendum buyer for Argentina, Paul Meihuizen, explains, “I was looking for something different and unique in Argentina, as we already have a very well established and successful portfolio. La Posta is Laura Catena’s project where she works closely with, and honours the growers of the grapes that go into this range of wines. It’s always exciting to do something new with Laura as she is such an inspirational person.

“These wines are all from sub-regions of Mendoza: Guaymallen, Tupungato and La Consulta. They are further unique in that they are not just Malbec dominated, but include a 100% Pinot Noir and Bonarda wine.”

Even though La Posta’s vineyards aren’t organic and biodynamic certified, they all employ sustainable practices.
